What do you do at FrankieOne?
I’m a Software Engineer at FrankieOne, where I work on the KYC team. My role involves developing features, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with product and design teams to build reliable tools for our customers. I especially enjoy working with complex data and the challenge of turning it into something meaningful and useful.
What inspired you to pursue your career path?
Interestingly, it started when I watched The Social Network. Seeing how technology could shape entire industries sparked my curiosity about the tech world. That curiosity eventually turned into a passion for building things and solving problems through code.
What’s a challenge you’ve overcome in your journey?
One challenge has been learning to navigate complex systems and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Tech is constantly evolving, so there’s always something new to learn. Over time, I’ve learned to break down problems, ask the right questions, and stay resilient when things don’t work the first time. I’ve also learned that sometimes the best solution comes after stepping away for a bit and coming back with a fresh perspective.
What advice would you give to other women in fintech/tech?
Don’t be afraid to speak up, ask questions, and take up space in technical discussions. It’s easy to feel like you need to have all the answers before contributing, but you don’t. Sometimes asking the right question or offering a different perspective can completely change how a problem is understood.
What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
International Women’s Day is a reminder of how far women have come in gaining independence and the freedom to pursue their own paths. It’s inspiring to see more women building lives and careers on their own terms.
